Dr. Magrum holds a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia, an M.S. from East Tennessee State University, and a B.S. from Bowling Green State University. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in Exercise Science and Coaching. His research explores the role of emotional intelligence in coaching effectiveness and investigates impactful teaching methods in higher education. Outside the classroom, Dr. Magrum enjoys spending time with his family, weight training, hiking, and working on home improvement projects.

Art Shala helps with strategy, production, and promotion for the Faculty Lounge Podcast as an Intern. His contribution includes guest research, editing, branding, design, and social media outreach. 

Art is a graduate student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication (WRTC) at JMU.

Sarah Rush helps with editing, production, guest research, branding, design, and social media marketing for the Faculty Lounge Podcast.

Sarah is a first-year graduate student in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication (WRTC) at JMU. She holds an undergraduate degree in biology, is especially interested in science writing, and serves as the Social Media and Marketing Graduate Assistant for the Center for Faculty Innovation (CFI).
